  • Great article! But I noticed that you left out the important step of soaking the fruits in rum overnight! This is key to getting a really moist and flavorful cake. Without soaking the fruits, you’ll end up with a dry cake. Also, make sure to use fresh grated nutmeg. The ground nutmeg you find in the spice aisle just doesn’t have the same flavor.
